Blogging Break

I'm going to take a little blogging break. I so need to get a handle on my new life as a student, also have the Princess's 7th birthday party this coming weekend, lots to do for that!

Its been a mad two weeks around here, burnt out motherboard, Internet connection accidentally cancelled, crashed the car, Princess has had her adenoids out and grommets inserted and then just to finish it off we both had Head Lice - YUK!!!!


Found this Praying Mantis hanging off a lavender flower and eating a bee!!! Totally fascinating watching it!

Anyway, how's that for randomness!!! lol

Head Screwed On!

gotta love super glue! Just needs to be repainted....one day....soon.....


My head back in place too, no super glue used!

The Princess settled easily back into school, loves her new teacher. She is not so keen on the after school care but I'm sure she will get used to it!

I have had my second week as a university student. I have a school bag, a pencil case and a really cool umbrella!!! lol

Just maths so far, you know..... multiplication and division of decimal numbers, fractions, that sort of stuff!!

Had a wee maths test today, will find out how I did tomorrow.

Found some vintage linens in my local op shop yesterday, just gorgeous. Will be refashioning them into bags and other stuff!!! One day.......soon..........


Not this pillowcase though, am going to be keeping this as it is, a beautiful pillowcase for my bed!


And a pile of pretty hankies to be used in my creations as well. One day.....soon.....



oh, I had a little mishap with my laptop, took it upon myself to upgrade the RAM to become speedier and in the process fried the motherboard!!! It had to go to hospital to be fixed by a real computer doctor....... was not good!!!

What else, what else? I had all these little snippets of things to blog about and have forgotten most of them.... oh well.....

I'm sure it will all come to me.... in the middle of the night!!! lol

Headless chicken....

running around like one, is what I been doing for the last few weeks!!!

children went back to school here at the beginning of Feb, after the long summer holidays! Busy time, buying stationery, sandals, hair cuts, doctors appointments, covering new school books, getting food in for school lunches, back into a structured routine..... ya get the picture!!!

and then lots of last minute thingies for me to organise for my new school life, more forms to complete, after school care for the Princess and so on.....

oh and going to my every 13 weeks appointment with WINZ our welfare system to justify my existence to them and why I should continue to be supported by the state!!!

NICE!!!

all is now in place and order and I even managed to glue the head back on my headless statue, he's only been like that for 3 years!!!!


I had a custom order to make one of my doily bags, typical me left it to the last minute, the night before actually! Very bad idea, everything you could think of that could go wrong with the sewing machine did, cotton snapping, bobbin jamming, needles (about 4) breaking...... grrrrrrrh....

I finished it the next day, an hour before it was needed!!!

other than having felt like a headless chicken everything is great and fabulous in my world, hope it is in yours!!!
